Brenda Akia, DAAD alumna, becomes first Ugandan to be elected to UN CEDAW leadership

Dr. Brenda Akia from Uganda has been a member of the United Nations CEDAW Committee since 2022. The committee monitors the implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
