UNILEAD Eastern Africa 2024: “Strengthening University Leadership and Management”
Apart from interacting and networking with several seasoned leaders from Rongo University, a representative of the DAAD Regional Office for Africa in Nairobi, and a Programme Leader from the University of Oldenburg, the participants were trained and mentored by experts from Germany, Kenya, and Ghana. This diverse group of mentors and trainers provided a rich and comprehensive learning experience during the program. This engaging program also featured cultural activities spanning the participating countries, aimed at fostering diversity and inclusivity.
UNILEAD is a transformative program that aims to prepare university middle-level managers for leadership and management roles by equipping them with relevant skillsets required in higher education institutions. This programme is an initiative of the Center for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg (Germany) and Rongo University (Kenya) and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
